An Unending Love Story

The winds down the standing mountain,

Brings the chill within its brace.

It also brings with its embrace,

Shards of memories making eyes strain.

The gloom it offers is insurmountable,

Wishing the love it reminds is detachable.

Far in the east, the sun treads a lonely path;

Nobody asks who thy company is;

Doesn’t the memory stain the orange ball,

How forever it breaks into a juvenescent shine.

Alone stands, elegantly and wretchedly the tied dog;

Barking, barking, wishing we hear them all;

In the un-response isn’t there a smitten pall,

How does it still bark agog.

Oh Mister and Mistress!

Am no fortress like the shining sun,

Am no stoic like the barking dog.

I can never tread a lonely path nor

Go agog for an unending un-response.

Because

The sunlight is not sighted when

There is no You;

The noise is a deafening silence when

The search is for you;

The rains pound my head,

The stones bleed my feet,

The storm tears me apart,

The demon swishes his tongue in glee,

Yet, I roll lifeless, painless, and fearless.

The pain is missing,

The life is missing,

No reason exists for my living,

When you will go missing,

Appa and Amma.
